Lucky Top Seven Albums of 2012
It’s that time of year again… top albums of the year, duh! Alternative Press Magazine has set out again to give us their top albums that they think are essential. Well I’m going to tell you the Top Lucky Seven that I think are essential, because let’s just say I had none of those albums on their list.
In the lucky seven stop is One Direction: Up All Night. I enjoyed this album A LOT when it first came out, but now that’s it’s almost been a year, I could care less about it. This album is full of pops true colours. Definitely an essential for the big pop, and boy band fans out there!

In the sixth spot we have he Rocket Summer: Life Will Write The Words. This album was pop, yet rock filled. Such a pleasant record to drive to, it’s easy listening as well as you can sing along! This is definitely an essential for the pop or rock fans out there, maybe I’m leaning towards the pop fans though!

In the fifth spot we have You Me At Six: Sinners Never Sleep. I am counting this because technically it came out in January here in Canada, so it counts. To you guys in other parts of the world I do hope you had this on your list last year! Warped Tour introduced me to this incredible band, so glad it did! Punk to an edge but poppy non the less. It’s really fun to listen, they capture so much emotion it’s great!

In the fourth spot we have Yellowcard: Southern Air. The opening track just screams Yellowcard in your face. The trademark violin is heard throughout the album and just adds that extra something that you need from something that sounds good, to something that sounds great.

Coming in at number three again is All Time Low: Don’t Panic. This year they’re back with a whole new sound. Actually it still all sounds like All Time Low, this time around they sound more like they did in the Party Scenes days, and I’m okay with that, my favourite song Jasey Rae came from there. This album is fun, it’s moody, it’s punk rock.

In the two spot we have Sleeping With Sirens: If You Were a Movie, This Would Be Your Soundtrack EP. I know it’s an EP but I’m still counting it. This EP is moving in the way Kellin Quinn sings his words out, and in the words he’s written down. Beautiful love songs.

And now, our number uno in the grand seat for this year is… Pierce The Veil: Collide With The Sky. If you know me, you could have guessed this would have been number one. This album can go from high volumes to low. It’s got everything you need, all while Vic just serenades to you. It’s a beautiful masterpiece that is there best work yet. Every track, even the intro is done to perfection. Good job boys!
