Life Through Meghan: Love, They Say
Woah Buzznet got a make over since I was last on. I was like how do I post anything LOL. But as you can see I figured it out.
Where do I start? January is over. Anyone else felt like it lasted 5 years? I swear it was really long lol. So much has happened in the past month that maybe's that's why I feel that way lol.
So first things first! I started a new semester. I take 5 courses evey semester. This semester I have Betrayal in Contemporary Narrative (we read books and talk about them... literally), Subcultures in the Media (we talk about different subcultures... like pirates!), Presentation & Persuasion (in which I presented today on defining a word), Digitial Design (where we work in photoshop... I'm not so skilled) & last Web Design (where we learn coding & the ways of HTML). A brief summary on my semester. So far I've done a couple extersises in Photoshop & have had to do 2 speeches, and I've writen my resume in code lol.
Second on my list here I've fallen out of love. (That kinda condradicts my title there). But as I think everyone who has been paying attention to my life since 2011 knows I've been "in love", but I'm not really anymore. I don't feel the same way as I did before, I just feel like we are best friends & we're learning things about each other better then ever now, it's like we're meeting for the first time almost, it's kinda cool. Though the first time I realized it, it was a strange feeling because I've loved him for so long (almost 2 years) & now that I've realized my feelings have changed, in which I never thought could happen lol, it's almost like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
Speaking of being free and feeling awesome, I started going to the gym and I feel amazing because of that too. See I told you so much has happened lol. Now I'm going to get to the good stuff I promise!
Just one last thing & it's that I'm not going to be continuing my "Corcky Challenge" right now. I don't feel insipred by it at all. I was actually reading comments from my 365 project and it made me want to do another one because it made me feel good at accomlishing it, it felt more rewarding. So maybe after my 52 week project I'll start a new one. I'm still debating, tell me if you think it's a good idea? Thanks- now to the good stuff!

Looper: Imagine it’s the year 2044, in 30 years time travel will have been invented, you as a looper have to kill people who time travel to the past, even if it’s yourself. Starring Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Joe finds himself in the future, but he escapes, to try and find the rainman as child to kill him before he becomes what he will become in the future. It’s a chase to kill. The movie is very action packed with twists and turns in the plot that keep you watching, even if you don’t want to. The action gets a little slow in some parts and a little dry, but getting through those scenes it gets better, and is actually a very good movie.

Sliver Linings Playbook: Starring Bradley Cooper, and Jennifer Lawrence, the two meet and have to learn together how to cope with life. Cooper’s character Pat has bipolar disease is trying to win back his wife the whole movie; he becomes so obsessed that it just makes him worse. It’s Lawrence’s character Tiffany who helps him little by little. The movie is profoundly raw and at some point just hilarious. It can just get your emotions a test to ride on a roller coaster. Though the camera angles and the way they paned in and out of shots was a bit dizzy, but overall fantastic movie, with a capital F!

Fifty Shades Darker By: E L James: If you’ve ever read a fan fiction on the Internet you can tell that this series has the same kind of quality to them, the lack there of. This book was no different from the first one. Though maybe less sex, and more of a plot line. An ex of Christian’s shows up, Ana’s new boss wants in her pants, and Christian almost dies. There is somewhat a plot line that goes on, but it’s really hard to get through with all the pointless sex scenes, you really don’t need that many. That’s probably what makes the book so boring. Whatever your cup of tea is for books, (this may be one of them), it was just written to write because the author wants to write about sex.

Hidden By: P.C & Kristen Cast: The 10th book in the House of Night series, where we continue where we left off in the previous book. Good verses evil. This book was written just like the past nine books, and maybe when you first start to read a series it’s great, new characters plot line moving, but once you get to the 10th book in a series it starts to sound dull. The characters sounded really whiny and immature (even though they are teenagers), but the characters and plot just didn’t hold out for the 10th book. Not looking forward to the 11th book.

Torment By: Lauren Kate: The second book to the Fallen series. It seems very common that all teen fiction books base around romance, and teen struggle to figure out “the one”, along with the main character having multiple boys after her and she being attracted to them. This seems to pop up in every book and this one is no different. The main character Luce Price has changed schools to be protected by her lover’s enemies, in which he tells her nothing and she breaks all the rules causing a war and she pretty much leaves her lover Daniel. It’s very fast paced the book, and quick to read. This book is for anyone who enjoys teen fiction and other world fantasy.

Linger By: Maggie Stiefvater: The second book in the Shiver series. This time around Sam has become human, but his girlfriend Grace has the awful fate of becoming a wolf. Throughout the whole book we don’t know, as the reader, what will happen, but what we do know is that something will happen to Grace. The book was hard to get through, the author made emotions strong, and details were crystal clear, but it just had this lagging feeling towards it that can’t really be explained unless you read it. Overall, the book had a good plot line and followed through.

The Perfect Teacher: Starring Megan Park. The movie is considered a horror, and can be seen as such as the main character, Park’s character is in love with her teacher, and she thinks he is in love with her too, but in reality he does not. She’s the creepy girl who can’t tell reality from what goes on in her head. Though the movie dialogue was really cheesy, and stereotypical of what you would expect from this type of genre. Park’s acting was on queue for the role, and she played the creepy stalker girl very well. The movie had it’s up’s and down’s but it’s not a movie worth watching for any value.

Tegan and Sara: Heartthrob: The newest album from the Canadian twins Tegan and Sara opens up with the first single from the album Closer, which is very electronic in sound, but is very catchy making you want to dance, while the lyrics have dynamic to them for such a pop song. I Was a Fool is a slower song that is still catchy, and the lyrics still sound raw and Tegan and Sara sounding even with the pop sound behind it. Drove Me Wild has very descriptive lyrics that are fun to listen to, while painting a picture. How Come You Don’t Want Me is yet another catchy tune that gets you with it’s good hooks, and their singing. Love They Say is the “it” moment of the album, the music complements the words, which are beautiful. A song about love. The album ends with A Shock to Your System, which is slow, but still fun to listen to. It makes it feel like the album could last forever. Overall, pop really works for Tegan and Sara!

Passion By: Lauren Kate: The third book in the Fallen series. In this novel, the main character Luce goes back in time to try and figure out how to break the curse that is put on her and her lover Daniel. It’s a really interesting read to go back in time throughout the novel. That is what kept the reader wanting to read more, what is she going to find in her past lives, and it wasn’t simply just her with Daniel all the time, but it was her in past lives with him and it was really cool to see. The author is trying to define a love that lasts over centuries, and she gets that message across pretty clear in how far back in history she goes. It’s a cute little story, though not the end, there is a twist at the end, but the next novel will be the last that looks to be a good one. Can love really hold through the end of time?
That's all for me this month! :D What have you guys been reading, or watching or listening to recently? Loved to hear it!
